Two New Blogs Created

Over the past week I've been developing a game plan for my latest site for the World of Warcraft Guides. I have two blogs for this purpose. Each blog will cover various things that relate to WoW guides and tips and strategies for the game in general.

If you want to draw attention to your sites you'll need to be creating outside resources. This is done through a variety of ways. Blogs are one of them. I have a part time job so I've been outsourcing my work to various people. So far I have almost fully trained one person to do about 80% of the chores that need to be done to get your site more traffic from search engines.

If you want help with your site and you would like to have your business gain more attention from the Internet, whether that may be Google or other search engines, you may want to consider outsourcing your work. That is where people like me can help you.

Visit my site reddingseo.com if you want more details and are interested in contacting me to help you build more online traffic.

How to Build PageRank in Google

Building a high PR in Google is not hard. It does require patience. You can read more about this subject on my site, ReddingSEO.com. While having a nice PR is Google is a nice thing, it is nothing to obsess about. The reason why you should become overly concerned is because if you manage to pick keywords and search terms that are not extremely competitive, you can rank well, meaning you can get your site listed on the first page search results for many keyword search terms.

In order to build your PR up in Google, you'll need time, good back links, quality content, and a site that others are visiting regularly helps.

What you do not want to do is consider black hat or illegal methods and techniques to get your site ranking high. These methods can get your site banned from Google, which means it will be de-listed, no traffic ever coming from Google searches and that means hardly any traffic at all.

As time goes by Google continues to look for these "cheating" ways of ranking well. New ones come out all the time, but Google is always updating their algorithms so keeping ahead is not going to be easy.

One way to help you with all the chores of maintaining your website is to pay someone to help out. That's where people like me who specialise in search engine optimization come in.

Grid Free Living

It's time to introduce another website. This one is all about Grid Free Living. Learning how to build solar panels, wind power systems and more. I've recently learned that you can build an electric car for about $300.00 with the right tools, a solar panel for less than $200.00 and a wind powered system for about $100.00.

Lots of great ways to go living off the grid. The website Let's Talk Reviews is a newer dot come giving reviews on a variety of downloadable guides and manuals, mainly the step by step how-to kinds.

I read an article recently in the National Geographic about a family that took on an adventure in lowering their energy consumption on-grid by 80%. It was not easy and it wasn't something that everyone would be motivated to do, but we have been motivated to get started on a little energy consumption diet.

It can start with as little attention as turning off your PC or laptop when you're not using it.

Until next time,

Two New Sites Added

Well, it's been awhile but I've been busy designing a few websites and delving into some new areas. One of the more difficult ways to drive traffic to your site is through Pay Per Click. Google is the toughest PPC advertising to learn. It is a lot of trial and error.

The two new sites I have recently created at:

http://www.abprogramsreviewed.com - Bodyshaping Review site.
http:/www.ezipps.com - XBOX 360 Repair Reviews

Ezipps.com has been around for a few years. I have only just decided to upload a website on it. The domain name is short, this is one reason I selected it. It is going to help me in my testing. I did not use the usual methods to create this site at this point since I am not seeking organic traffic at the moment.

Gaining search engine traffic organically requires a lot of time and patience. PPC can drive traffic instantly to your site. However, it can be very costly. Especially if you don't understand how Google things.

Without any knowlege in PPC you most likely would be extremely frustrated. Google has two things that often drive people nuts within the first day.

The Google Slap and the Google Quality Score.

I am new to PPC, but I have an expert coach. I'll keep you up to date as I can to let you know how my own personal experience with PPC is going.

Until next time,

Google Slap What is That

Perhaps you've heard the term, Google Slap. Sounds rather brutal doesn't it? Well, it actually is pretty brutal if it happens to you. The Google Slap will only happen to you if you're working in PPC or pay per click advertising.

A long time ago PPC was very simple. You placed an ad, paid for a position and that was about it. The better the keyword, the more money the ad costs for a higher position. The problem with this came over time as too many people were placing ads that lead to the very same website. The other problem was ads that lead to very poorly designed websites. Sites that had horrible content and sites that were trying to make money on Adsense, the opposite of Adwords, by something that is a little complicated to understand. The bottom line is that Google decided to take a stand and stop all the poor advertising so that both the advertiser and the person seeking to find related content to their search a good experience.

So, what exactly is the Google slap? Google slaps an advertiser that does not meet with their criteria in advertising. If you are going to use Google's Adwords, or PPC, if you are paying someone to advertise for you, you MUST know what's going on. You can become banned and your domain will reap heavy penalties that can cost you a lot of money to advertise even in places where no one else is placing any PPC ads if you don't please Google and follow the rules.

These things are too complex to explain in my blog, but a word of caution to those using Google for PPC. Make sure you or your PPC manager knows exactly what they are doing and if you are using a PPC manager, get a FULL report on your PPC costs per keywords used, clicks successfully bringing in traffic etc... the more you understand the better you'll be.

Until next time,
Chrisi D.

Blogging and SEO

Are you blogging? Do you own a business? Did you know that blogging can help your site become more active with viewers?

How?

Blogging can help you increase the activity of your website by selecting specific keywords and linking them to your site. This is what I do with every one of my posts. I am always creating "tags" and live links to my www.reddingseo.com. I want to make sure that the keywords I'm focused on are in line with getting a first page ranking.

In the beginning my reddingseo.com was listed on the first page for the keyword search term, "Redding SEO". The other two keywords I have been working on are, "Redding search engine optimization" and "Redding search engine services".

If you type in redding seo, redding seo blog, and redding search engine optimization into Google's search box you should find all three of those terms on page 2 for the most part. The first two keywords are on the first page almost all the time, the third is on page 2 most of the time.

My second site, the Pond Ideas website has many first page keyword listings. It receives daily clicks from Adsense. My third site about reverse mortgages has the first page listing for the main keyword I've targeted.

With proper SEO you can gain traffic to your sites. I'll be listing a new site soon...

Until next time,

New SEO Creation

Today more than ever more people are seeking to make a living online. I'm one of those people. It's hard for me to make the time to work on my online projects, but every week I try to get as much done as possible.

If you're wanting to build your business online it is important to understand that you must set up goals. You will need to set up short term as well as long term goals. Everyday I actually try to do something positive toward my online business. It is not always possible to get a lot done, but even writing just a few paragraphs and updating this blog is helping me with my SEO online.

How? Well, this is my launching site. This is the place where I have established enough activity, via a blog, to get my other websites attention. In the beginning it took a week for me to have my first website listed in Google. Once this blog became active it set in motion something very important.

What? Google and other search engines like Yahoo love blogs. Blogs are the most updated and active sites online so the search engines want to come and check up on them as often as once or twice a day. It depends on how often you are updating your blogs. The more you update your blog the more activity it creates and the end result is a lot of "slurping" from Google and other search engines.

So, the goal here for me is to update this blog as often as I can. Which should be at least 2 or 3 times a week. Lately it's been harder to do that due to a couple of my workmates becoming disabled and having to cover work for them.

I'll be back soon, I have almost finished creating my new site. Once I have it finished, I'll announce it in this blog and enter the Google map into the BIG G. The last site I announced was listed in less than 2 days. I'll try and keep a closer watch this time to see how fast my next one is listed.

Until then...

Happy Blogging,
Chrisi D

Redding SEO Google PR

Anyone that has a good understanding of SEO will tell you that Google is the most sought after search engine for obtaining good listings. If you're site wants traffic from targeted customers, Google sets the standards for what you as a webmaster, web designer or business site owner, want to follow.

With that being said some people think that PR is not as powerful as it used to be. Well, that is true. However, it's better than it used to be because as Google makes changes to how their search engine spiders and robots analyze your site, it becomes a better search experience for the users.

So, what about PR? Well, Page Rank is a small but still important part of SEO. I don't have time to go through a list of details today, but if your site has PR, it means other people are thinking well of it. If your site is new, you want to make sure it is gaining PR over time.

Reddingseo.com now has a PR of 1. It is a small but important start. Over time this PR will grow to a higher number. My goal is a 4. Obtaining a higher PR is possible, but it requires more time and effort. Let's see how things go and just how long it will take to get that PR4.

Until next time,

The Key to SEO

The Key to SEO is .... well, you'll have to read this blog...

Every now and then I check on my page position or as some ranking as some refer to it. My position for the keyword search term, "Redding SEO" has remained unchallenged for the number one spot in Google. The other term, "Redding search engine optimization" is constantly changing. The highest it's been is #7 and today it's #10 or #13, depending on which browser you are using.

The most work I am doing for this site is checking my stats. I really am far too busy to work on anything more than that. However, it is good to note that my on site work that I have done before uploading my site online is what has helped me to rank rather well for the three keyword search terms that people will use if they live in my area.

On site SEO is very important and in some cases it can be the only thing you ever have to do for obtaining a good position in Google. Yahoo and MSN are very lazy about how they position "related" content. In fact they are pretty far behind Google in how they manage linking. Hackers and people who use bad SEO technique can still manipulate their page position rather easily using technique that provide a very bad experience for the users.

It is not hard to understand why Google is the number one choice for searching online. Once you use Google, you won't be going back to Yahoo or another other search engine unless you're someone like me doing SEO type research.

My offline work is taking about 4 to 5 days of my time. And I'm not too excited about working where I am not needed. So, I'll let my Reddingseo.com take a life of it's own for now.

Oh... BTW... my article that I submitted is ranked at number ONE for the keyword search term, Redding Search Engine Optimization. ;) My article also drives people to my site. So, either way you look at it, just a little off site effort have helped me acheive the top page position for the two main search terms I have targeted.

The key is patience really. A site needs to be built with SEO, it needs to age and prove itself, and there are off site methods that require a lot of patience and maintenance, especially for the harder more competitive search terms.

Until next time,
Chrisi D

Blogs, SEO and Google

Getting listed in Google fast was very simple and super easy. In fact all you have to do is read this blog from the beginning and you can see the very simple steps that I took to get my last site, ezpondideas.com listed in google in less than a day. It was so fast in fact that it could have been listed in hours of submitting my xml site map to Google but I did not do an hourly check to see when it was listed so all I can say is that it was in less than 17 hours. Perhaps with my next site I will make an effort to get an hourly check done.

Okay, so bla bla bla... you're thinking, Chrisi, just spill it. Tell us how to get listed in less than 24 hours.

Well, I don't wanna just spill it, there's more for you to learn. Ha! Let me just say that if you can get your site listed in less than a month you're doing better than most. Although many sites can remain unknown for months due to a lack of understanding how the search engines find them.

So, to get listed within a week, here's a reminder of how to get it done...

EzineArticles.com is a wonderful article directory. And if you can get them to post your article on their front page, you're sure to get your link that you place in your authors box noticed. This is how I was able to get my www.reddingseo.com site listed in 6 days. At this time I didn't have this blog created so that is the route I took to get noticed quickly.

Right now my site has a page 1 listing for the search term, Redding SEO. I'm not working too hard on getting it listed on page 1 for Redding search engine optimization at this point, but over time it will happen naturally as my site has quality content and I'm slowly adding backlinks to this site.

Now then... if you are not up to writing an article yourself, hire someone from elance.com or scriptlance.com to write one for you. Don't hire someone "cheap". You want a quality article if you're submitting to ezinearticles.com. I've established myself as an expert author so every article I write gets posted on the main page. It seems easy to get the expert status, but in reality I really don't know how easy it is. I write quality content so since I never write crap, I can't say if you write a junky article that you won't be considered an expert, but I can say that if you write a quality article you "should" obtain the expert status.

Okay, so either write the article yourself, or pay to have it written for you. Ghost writers are a easy to get online from the outsourcing sites. A quality article will cost you about $12.00 give or take a few bucks.

Ezpondideas.com was even easier for me to get noticed by Google than Reddingseo.com. Why? Well, I'll tell you that I did not have to write an article and submit it to ezinearticles.com. Nope, that was not necessary. And in fact I have yet to do so. I didn't submit any articles to anywhere until "after" Google listed it.

<<>>

So, how did I do it?

Really? Hm...

I will be back again later and tell you... maybe. ;)

Until then,
Chrisi D.

Lightning Fast Google Slurp

Okay, so, I just got around to checking to see if my new site ezpondideas.com gained any nibbles from Google and low and behold yep, Google has listed it. In fact the site link in Google has the following information:

ezpondideas.com/ - 16 hours ago

That is VERY fast. The reason I can now get any site listed so fast is due to the following:

1. The sites are constructed using a clear model that Googles spider bots can slurp.
2. I create an xml map, submit and get it verified by Google.
3. I announce it in my blog here. This blog is very active and Google sends it's little spider bot over everyday, probably several times a day to check it out.

Those three things are the foundation of SEO, (search engine optimization)

If you are seeking to build your own SEO, take a peek at my main site:
Redding Search Engine Optimization. Email me any questions you might have. I don't have time to answer questions from people who are not seriously interested in my services so please only email if you are thinking of hiring someone to build your SEO.

Until next time,
Chrisi D.

Pond Ideas

Introducing a new site born yesterday... I haven't had time to introduce it yet, but today I'm taking a few minutes to get this intro done. I've not informed Google by way of the xml sitemap just yet. It took a while for me to get the site all done. Actually it only takes me about a day to get a site created and up and running.

Most of the time is spent adding the articles. This takes quite some time. So, for all you pond lovers out there, or perhaps those who may want to get started, I invite you to take a look at the new addition to our SEO research at http://ezpondideas.com/

I'll be installing the xml map soon. Wait... I'm going to do that right now... ok, it's done and now I'm going to enter it into Google. Whew! Long day... but it's over and things are all set and ready to go.

Until next time,

Frustrated With My PC

One of the things you need to do when it comes to building your SEO is work on your PC. It's a great tool and it is a must for Internet work and research. What I'm experiencing now is the down side of computers.

Things take a very looooooong time to work and I spend a great deal of my research and work time on my PC just sitting and waiting for windows to open, close, and for my programs to work right.

I've placed several different spyware, adware and virus tools on my computer........ and STILL my PC was working like a newly thawed out snail. I mean COME ON !

Now I've learned that this slowness I'm experiencing has to do with trying to work with more than one TYPE of anti-this that and the other thing program.

So, the answer to slowness on your PC is not always something you can solve by using programs to remove the crap your computer has accumulated.

If you find your PC is slow, take it in for a tune up. Yep, take it to some place locally that can fine tune it to it's original working condition. My PC guy said that I need to have just ONE virus protection program. So, he's going to fix things for me and help me decide on what to use and how to keep my PC in good working order.

Now this may not have been all about search engine optimization, but if your computer is not working in optimum order, your time working online with your PC is going to be wasted.

Get a tune up today. And have a cup o joe or tea or whatever it takes to calm your nerves.

Till next time... hopefully when things are running better,
Chrisi D

Googles New Algorithm

Google's new algorithm includes daily updates. In the past Google used to update their results every 3 or 4 months. It was called the Google dance. Now it happens very quickly. If you've been reading my blog you can see how the stats change on a daily basis.

Most of the results do not change. There are positions that are pretty stable. However, everyday people are submitting new content to search engines, article directories and other media sites. Google analyses all of this using their algorithmic processes. There are a full 200 componants that make up these algorithms. You'll probably find a lot of information online on how to best apply SEO to your sites, but there is a very simple way to consider how you put your web site content together.

First, include quality origional content. Think first in terms of your reaaders, think next in terms of a robot reading your content. If you keep the readers experience as positive as you can, you are going to be pleasing all search engine rules as this is the most important one.

More soon...

First Page in Google

Okay, it's been a week now and my new site is now number 10 on the first page of search results for the keyword search term, reverse mortgage pros cons. I've postponed playing any Adsense ads on it until it's settled closer to the top. I have written two articles and submitted them to an article directory. I've also got plans on adding new articles each week. This site should reach the top of the page within a month or so. Maybe sooner.

Regarding my actual business site, Redding SEO or Redding Search Engine Optimization, I've just entered it into Google Maps so it's available there. It should only take a day to see it in the search for Redding Search Engine Optimization Services.

Here's the Google search result stats for some keyword search terms:

Redding SEO - #1
Redding SEO Blog - #1
Redding SEO RSS - #1
Redding SEO services - #1
Redding search engine optimization - #13
Redding search engine optimization services - #13

My goal is to have the last two search terms number one as well. However, that will take a little time. It is hard to estimate the time because there are a great deal of factors involved, but I would expect to see it within the top 5 results within the next 2 - 4 months.

Till next time,
Chrisi D

Main Page Search Results

Everyday I am seeing changes in Google's search results. It takes patience and time to get your site on the main page search results. Today my main site is around 16. Google still needs proof that it is worthy of planting it on the first page. If you were to scan the first page results for the search term, Redding search engine optimization you will see that my site is the most relevant, yet it's not on that page yet.

Why?

Because Google sends it's Googlebot out to spider sites, not people. Millions of pages are added everyday to the search results. Manually trying to take on this work is out of the questions. This is why it is so important for "us" the people who own the websites, to help the search engines out by creating our web sites in a way that both benefits the user and the search engine robots that spider our site.

My new site, reversemortgageproscons.com is listed at number 11 today. I will be writing new articles and submitting them to an article directory soon. In time, both of these sites will be on the first page search results.

Natural search results take time, but they are worth it.

Keeping you posted on the results,
Chrisi D
